Sing opera to me

in your baritone voice

Whisper patiently

if that’s your choice

Touch my ear

with your breath

Touch me here

it’ll be my death

Say all you want to

without any fear

Do it as if you’re

singing in my ear

Like an earthquake

your speak shakes me

Your hand is aftershock

breaks my reality

Come to me

like a giver of gifts

Show me over and over

as my body lifts

singing in my ear

Let me look at you

opening myself for flight

what your voice can do

makes everything so right

Open what is so dear

that is oh so dear

That part of me with so much fear

while you keep singing in my ear
