Never Get Tired of Being Called Pretty

Have you ever heard someone say,

 “You’re just not good enough?”

But too good to settle for less

Or any kind of funny stuff

Have you ever heard from someone else

that your life is like a fairytale

That you never have to look too far

When they all have love for sale

Would you remember if the Priest said,

“The Lord has blessed you, my Child”?

If she said it with her eyes closed

All the while, a face with a smile

Have you ever joined in a song at church

that sounded like a little ditty?

And the choir was looking at you

And made you feel the nitty-gritty

Should anyone on the far outside

Try to make you want to run and hide

Don’t hide yourself from life in the city

Never get tired of being called Pretty

Keep Life

Stay true

See and Be You

Hum if you want to

Keep away from being blue

Don’t hide yourself from life in the city

Never get tired of being Pretty
