I saw the moon float
right before my brown eyes
No birds sheltered it
Even the stars made their own skies
Steady was the wind
to not allow fallen seeds to offend
Somewhere up there
the Virgin Mary let down her hair with care
The little ones who came before me
showed no signs of fragility
Chirping along
were the angels in birds song
Flowers rested
full-breasted
And though rain was due
the Earth’s body tilled itself anew
Paradise reigned supreme
every day as if
and unlike any made up dream
When the sun winked
it stayed every time I blinked
Flowing waters played back-ups
and overflowed my ace of cups
Night favored the daylight
insuring its beauty with all its might
Accepting shade
for time and space that God had made
