Again, Law Officials drop the ball. This time in Arizona!

This is something we’re hearing a lot of.  The suspect being stopped or pulled over by law officials prior to a fatal accident.  Remember the Tiffany Hartley case…the woman we haven’t heard very much from since she went on a crusade for better border patrol in Mexico?  Prior to David Hartley going missing, after Tiffany Hartley claimed that he was shot in the head by Mexican pirates, the Hartley’s vehicle was pulled over by Mexican police.  What was so disturbing about the Hartley case was the fact that they had expired tags in a place that was not their native land.  For people to not be able to see a problem with this, why not?  Was this not a red flag to the police officer who pulled them over?  To prevent Tiffany Hartley’s claim, the couple should have been forced to return to the US and not allowed to proceed to Falcon Lake where Tiffany Hartley claimed her husband was shot in the head as they tried to flee supposed apprehension by the Mexican pirates.  A body has yet to be found.  Tiffany Hartley has since left Mexico after being questioned by Mexican officials.

Then we have Jared Loughner, the young man who shot, at point-blank range, Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in the head – as well as killing others in the middle of all the mayhem.  How is it that this young man, who was stopped for running a stop sign, was not recognized as being agitated and possibly “disturbed” at that time?  According to ABC News.com and an Arizona Game and Fish Department officer:  “The do not routinely make traffic stops, except when public safety is at risk, such as running a red light.  The officer took Mr. Loughner’s driver’s license and vehicle registration information and ran it through dispatch.  The check came back with no wants nor any outstanding warrants on either the subject or his vehicle.”  Question:  Was the individual allowed to proceed because of his race?  It’s pretty obvious to me that had this person been detained – even forced to submit to a coherency test, that this catastrophe would have been prevented.  In fact, this situation may have just ended with the police who pulled him over.

I think it is part of the decree as a best friend to defend one’s honor in a time of being blasted by others.  The best friend of Jared Loughner states very calmly that the picture the media shows of a sinister looking Jared Loughner is not the Jared Loughner he knows.  This is very hard to believe.  We hear this time and time again how in a time when a friend commits a heinous crime (such as, Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei of Rutgers University – in the suicide of Tyler Clementi), they are the epitome of grace and all that is pure.  But someone knows something about what these people were doing or about to do.  They told someone.  Not only did the students at Pima Community College warn of Jared Loughner’s behavior, school officials knew of his suspicious nature.  And they did nothing.  Again, the signs were there loud and clear.  What was it that stopped them from reporting the explosive student?  Clearly, it has been said that Jared Loughner was very disruptive in class.  Could he have been forced to visit the school psychiatrist, if there was in fact one on the campus?  Why not?  Isn’t it the school’s responsibility to govern the welfare of each of its students?  As in the case of Tyler Clementi, the school has a responsibility to protect each student not only from the harm of others but from hurting themselves.

There appears to be one person at the center of all the attention that should be strictly focused on the shooting in Arizona, Sarah Palin.  It seems that each time she opens her mouth to speak, she becomes more and more an enabler and igniter of fury.  Though visible with the premise that she is present to set the record straight, she still has the ability to twist words better than T-Pain and Eminem.  For those who believe La Palin to be of the ill-equipped nature to govern any domain, think again.  There are still those out there who are waiting to hear just the right words, phrases that will catapult them into greatness.  When you look at the rise of Sarah Palin, you remember a person who rose from total criticism, and mockery to a now formidable force in politics.  And it’s all about politics and being heard.  Now that she has the floor, she has the podium that controls television stations along with radio and print ads.  But if there is a force that can stop her, why won’t they?  What else is needed to happen to see just where the problem lies?  Is Arizona not even the tip of the iceberg?  There are many out there who are on medication – and even more who can’t afford it.  I guess what can’t be swallowed orally can be ingested audibly.

As the ball continues to be passed around, how much weight does it take for it to be dropped?

Decapitation of a Hartley investigator…when did he go fishing?

Has the Hartley situation started something that shouldn’t have been started?  As David Hartley, an American who went on the Mexican side of Falcon Lake with his wife, Tiffany, to take pictures of a church – after repeated warnings of Mexican Pirates occupying the waters, was allegedly killed by Mexican Pirates, according to his wife who witnessed the event, the Mexican drug cartel appears to have gone into retaliation mode based on Tiffany Hartley’s statement.

Since Mexican officials released the names of two possible suspects in the alleged Hartley murder investigation, brothers Pedro Saldiva Farrias, 27, and Jose Manuel Saldiva Farrias, the severed head of Rolando Flores, the head of state investigators in Ciudad Miguel Aleman, was stuffed in a suitcase and delivered to the Mexican military earlier today.  We have been told in the past that the Mexican Pirates were basically a nuisance for those on the Mexican waters, but that there never any extreme incidents like that which occured with the Hartleys.  Until the release of any of those affiliated with the Mexican drug cartel or the pirates, the only one who really announced any fear was the anonymous witness to Tiffany Hartley coming around the island in a distressed state of being.  Now, if there is real reason to be fearful, we need to know when Rolando Flores actually started his supposed search of David Hartley.  As reported to the people, Mexican officials were afraid to start any search of David Hartley, especially on the Mexican side of Falcon Lake, due to potential confrontation with the Mexican Pirates.  However, it must be determined whether the Mexican Pirates are the same group as the drug cartel.  You have land and ground to attend to while asking, “Where was Rolando Flores sent to search for David Hartley?”

As quickly as the head of Rolando Flores was received by the Mexican military earlier today, Tamaulipas state prosecutor spokesman Ruben Rios told The Associated Press that Flores’ murder was “unrelated to the investigation” into Hartley’s death.

Just the mentioning of the two brothers’ names was enough to enrage the Mexican Pirates and drug cartel.  It’s very easy to say that the decapitation of Rolando Flores is not related to the Hartley disappearance, but the damage may already have been done.  If Rolando Flores was not working solo on the search for David Hartley, who else was there?  Why was Rolando Flores working on his own, if, in fact, he was working alone?  Instead of the head of Rolando Flores being sent to Mexican officials, why wasn’t the Jet Ski belonging to David Hartley sent to them?

Two Random Mexican Pirates selected for murder

ABC News has reported that Mexican cops called off news conference to release names of the Mexican Pirates that were given on Friday.

The two suspects were identified as Pedro Saldiva Farrias, 27, and his brother, Jose Manuel Saldiva Farrias, whose age was not given.  Fearing the Mexican cartel, Mexican officials would not go public, or in front of a camera, with the names of the suspects.  As it was determined that the names would not be made public, the family of the Texas man allegedly killed in a Mexican Pirate attack, David Hartley, said that they don’t think anyone will ever be arrested in the case.

“I doubt that they ever make an arrest,” said Bob Young, father-in-law of David Hartley, whose wife Tiffany says he was gunned down by marauding pirates 11 days ago when the two were Jet Skiing on Falcon Lake, along the U.S. – Mexico border.  “I don’t know, and as far as finding the body all we can do is hope,” Young said.

It is quite obvious that there would be fear instilled in Americans as well as the Mexicans for suspecting two young men who are said to be part of the Mexican cartel for a murder that they possibly did not commit.  If the Mexican Pirates control the Mexican waters, what would they have to fear for leaving a body that they have killed in the water?  What reason would they have for killing someone and leaving behind their life-vest?  Would they not be beyond making a statement already?

When Mexican officials decided to only release the names of the suspects, after cancelling a news conference to publicly announce the names of the suspects, one Mexican journalist who has covered the country’s drug wars told ABC News in an email, “It is surely because of the danger posed to everyone by the cartels taking revenge on anyone following up the case.”  This statement makes it seem as if Mexican officials have been in direct contact with the Mexican drug cartel and have been told directly to back off with this particular case.  Has this journalist had direct contact with the drug cartel – or anyone else for that matter?  This statement is quite misleading.

Tiffany Hartley, the wife of David Hartley, says that with the naming of the suspects, the Mexican police might be able to find her husband’s body.  “I hope that its going to, you know, bring David home.  Hopefully they can tell us where he is and locate, you know, where he’s at so we can kind of end this.  As long as we find him, you know, then we can at least kind of bring some closure to this,” said Tiffany.

Maybe this all doesn’t seem so peculiar, after all.
